The students in the Games and Society class in Fall 2008 created a variety of ads for board and card games that we’ve been playing in class. There are video, audio, print, and flash banner ads.

During the freshman year of the game design major, we focus on analog games - board games and card games. We play them in the fall to learn about win conditions, rules, game play mechanisms, and we make them in the spring to put our knowledge into action.

Students in the Spring 2008 game design class taught by Sharon Stansfield and Kim Gregson used GameMaker (from YoYo Games) created 2D games based on educational units from Project LookSharp, a media literacy group at Ithaca College.
